We build the software we wanted to use.
AKSS Business Solutions is a software product company based in India. We make apps for ordinary daily life — and we make them the way we would want them made for us.
Why we exist
The apps most of us use for the small business of living — a to‑do list, a notes app, a spending tracker — have quietly become something else. They ask for an account before they will show you anything. They upload your day to a server so it can be measured. They pay for themselves by selling your attention back to you as advertising.
We think that trade is a bad one, and mostly unnecessary. A task list does not need a cloud. A record of what you spent on groceries does not need to leave your phone. So we started AKSS Business Solutions to build the other kind of software: quiet, fast, private by construction, and paid for honestly.
What we do
We design, engineer, release and support our own products, end to end. That means the same people who choose how a screen looks are the ones who fix it when it breaks, answer your email about it, and are still maintaining it two years from now. Nothing important is outsourced to a vendor you never agreed to.
Our first product is Taskido — tasks, reminders, notes and everyday money in one app, stored on your own device. It is in its final round of testing before release on Google Play and the App Store.
Alongside our own products, we take on a small number of outside engagements each year: mobile and web products that need to be built properly and then looked after. We keep that number small on purpose, because a product company that is always busy on someone else's work stops being a product company.
How we make decisions
Three questions settle most arguments here. Would we put this on our own phone? Would we be comfortable if the person using it read exactly what the code does? And will this still be maintainable when we come back to it in a year? If any answer is no, it does not ship.
Working with us
If you are considering an engagement, expect straight answers: a clear scope, a real timeline, and an honest opinion about whether we are the right people for it. If we are not, we will say so — that costs us a project and saves you a great deal more.
